Li Gaofeng, Deputy Director of the Department, Ph.D., Chief Physician, Master's Supervisor, Key Talent of the Provincial High-Level Health Talent “225” Project, Visiting Physician at Careggi Hospital and S.M.A. Hospital, University of Florence, Italy, Member of the Plastic Surgery Professional Committee of the Rhinoplasty and Aesthetic Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, and Reviewer for the American journal Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Journal of Hunan Normal University (Medical Sciences). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Hengyang Medical College in 1999, was among the first group to receive a doctoral degree in Plastic Surgery from Central South University in 2004, and was appointed Professor in 2015. His main research directions are oculoplastic, auricular, and nasal plastic and reconstructive surgery and scar prevention and treatment. He has made several important innovations in eye, ear, and nose plastic surgery, among which Li's Z-plasty for epicanthal fold correction, dermal-tarsal fixation for puffy eyelids, delayed flap method for external ear reconstruction, and nasal tip plasty by constructing a triangular framework with auricular cartilage have gained favorable recognition both domestically and internationally.

 

Aesthetic and plastic surgery of the eyes, ears, nose, lips, and breasts; minimally invasive aesthetic procedures such as facial slimming, wrinkle reduction, hyaluronic acid injection, and thread lifting; scar revision for burns and trauma; minimally invasive radical treatment of axillary osmidrosis; standardized excision and repair of superficial tumors; and laser treatment of pigmentary and vascular skin diseases.

 

Undertook 5 provincial and departmental funded research projects and 3 Renshu research projects; published 29 academic papers, including 3 SCI-indexed papers and 9 in Chinese Medical Association journals; participated in compiling 3 monographs; received one Third Prize of the Hunan Medical Science and Technology Award and six Hospital Renshu Science and Technology Awards.
